Shhhh! Do not make this sauce in front of your kids.
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 can of 16 onz of crushed tomato
1 large carrot washed and peeled
1 medium size white onion peeled and diced
1 red pepper cleaned and cut
1 yellow pepper cleaned and cut
heat oil add onions, red and yellow peppers then add carrots and last can of crushed tomato. Lower stove and let simmer for about 30 minutes. Let cool and run quickly in food processor. This is a great simple tomato sauce where you can hide veggies loaded of beta carotene and vitamin C use for pasta or bread sticks.
